Superior Mobile Health (SMH) has championed Gabriella’s Smile Foundation (GSF) to join the fight for pediatric cancer in our community. Gabriella courageously and bravely fought Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an inoperable brain stem tumor, for almost eight months. She smiled every single day, never once complaining about the difficulty and pain brought by her condition.
The incredible support from their family, local community, and other DIPG families/foundations, helped them through this difficult journey that began on March 17, 2015, and ended far too soon on November 7, 2015. It was this support that inspired Gabriella’s family to establish this foundation to assist other families in need.
GSF reaches and supports families of children with pediatric brain cancer here in San Antonio, Texas and throughout the rest of the United States. GSF believes that no one fights cancer alone and families are stronger when working together. This same belief is within SMH, which is why our gives back with GSF.
GSF holds an annual 5K Cupcake Run to raise awareness and fundraise for their foundation. The cupcakes are given after every racer completes the 5K, which is exactly how Gabriella would want it.
